“I am delighted to introduce Izwi Art, a culmination of my journey as a social entrepreneur and my passion for reshaping narratives through the power of storytelling and art.
With a professional background rooted in social impact work, my experiences have spanned continents and communities. Throughout these endeavours, one common thread has emerged—stories. Stories have the remarkable ability to shape perceptions, influence beliefs, and define identities. The decision to found Izwi Art was motivated by the fusion of passion and purpose.
Izwi Art is an art consultancy which aims to use art to tell stories which will create change. We aspire to create dedicated and influential platforms for contemporary African art to express itself, challenge perspectives, evoke emotions, and shape its own narrative for the future.
The name Izwi takes root from the Shona Language, one of the official languages of Zimbabwe. Izwi, means a word or voice and in this context, it embodies what is at the core of the creation of this enterprise, a movement that uses art as a medium to amplify stories”

Our vision is made possible through partnerships, first with upcoming and celebrated contemporary African Artists who tell powerful stories through the creative and dynamic mediums reflected in their art and secondly with a variety of institutions and spaces who open their doors to allow our traveling Gallery to integrate contemporary African art into the fabric of their everyday environments.
Our curated bodies of artwork serves as a bridge, connecting different cultures and fostering inclusive spaces. It is our aim to inspire new ways of thinking, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate the diverse and vibrant narratives reflected in our work.
We hope that through the experiential journey of our work, people will not only learn about other cultures but will see reflected some common themes of our shared human experience and help to foster understanding, empathy and unity as people.
